As you would know, the human body is highly adaptable. If you cut your finger, the body would heal itself in a matter of days – regenerating new cells as soon as the change is noticed.

Well, if you make a change to your diet and you workout almost daily, your body may adapt too, and may start the fat burning process in your body.

But what you need to do to kick start this change ?

You see, your metabolism burns up every source of fuel inside your body – from the food you have eaten, to fat that has been stored.

But, one thing you have to know about your metabolism is that it will burn what was last eaten first, before it starts burning the fat on your body. 

As a result, by the end of the day, no matter what you have eaten, your body won’t have had time to start burning the fat from around your body.

But what if you could change this ... so your metabolism actually prefers to burn the fat in your body first ?

To make the switch so that your metabolism starts burning body fat first, you need to include some very specific foods into your diet and do my HIIT workouts in the morning on your empty stomach!

Why Working Out On Empty Stomach Can Help You Lose More Weight

1. Your blood sugar is low in the morning, which is perfect for burning fat!

low blood sugar in the morningIn the morning, your blood sugar is very low, because your haven’t eaten anything for 8-10 hours, so when you do my workouts, your body will need to transform your body fat into glucose in order to get energy.

As we know, the best source of energy is food, but since you haven’t given your body any food for the last 10 hours, it will use his own fat reserves for energy.

Another thing you should know is that when you exercise after eating - which is what most people do -  you will only burn the calories from the food you have eaten, not the fat you want to burn, so exercising on your empty stomach will burn your stored body fat.

Now I am sure you are thinking that you will not have enough strength to do my workouts or that you will lose muscle....

Well, do not worry about these 2, as my workouts are very short (only 18 minutes long including warm up and stretching). JUST TRY THEM :-) 

2. In the morning you have an improved insulin sensitivity

An empty stomach triggers a cascade of hormonal changes throughout the body that are surprisingly HELPFULL to both building muscle and burning fat.

insulinWhen you eat, your body releases insulin to help you absorb the nutrients from your food. The hormone then takes the sugars out of our bloodstream and directs them to the liver, muscles, and fat cells to be used as energy later on.

The trouble is that eating too much and too often can make us more resistant to insulin’s effects, and while poor insulin sensitivity ups the risk of heart disease and cancer, it also makes it harder to lose body fat. 

Doing your workouts in the morning on your empty stomach is one way to help remedy the issue, because it results in your body releasing insulin less often, so you become more sensitive to it — and that makes it easier for you to lose fat, improves blood flow to muscles, and even curbs the impact of an unhealthy diet.

3. In the morning you have higher levels of growth hormone (GH)

Growth hormone (GH) helps your body build new muscle tissue, burn fat, and improve bone quality, physical function, and longevity. 

Working out in the morning on your empty stomach is one of the best ways to increase your body’s Growth Hormones, so I hope you are ready to do your first workout tomorrow morning on your empty stomach :-) 

What Should You Eat To Get Fast Results

Well, if you want to lose weight fast and you have already decided that you will do my morning workouts on your empty stomach, I recommend you follow a protein based diet. You can even consume over 1500 calories a day, but because you will take most of your calories from protein, your body may start burning stored body fat instead of the food you have just eaten...

There are a few protein foods that contain metabolism-shifting properties that initiate the fat-burning process. You can get all these protein foods at your local supermarket and they won’t cost you any more than a candy bar. Plus, they don’t taste bad either!
